Gingrich fears 'atheist country ... dominated by radical Islamists'
Newt Gingrich, one of the serious Republican candidates for president, is back on the subject of Muslims this week. He's not just concerned that Muslims proper will co-opt his grandchildren when they come of age. He's worried about a new ultra-breed of Muslims, Atheist Muslims, performing the dirty work. Have you heard of these people? They probably live in cities.
Gingrich addressed the congregation at Pastor John Hagee's megachurch in Texas this weekend. Hagee, for some brief background, is the nut whose endorsement John McCain was forced to reject in 2008 when it was revealed that Hagee basically loves Hitler. This man's church is where Newt Gingrich was when he said:
"I have two grandchildren - Maggie is 11, Robert is 9," Gingrich said at Cornerstone Church here. "I am convinced that if we do not decisively win the struggle over the nature of America, by the time they're my age they will be in a secular atheist country, potentially one dominated by radical Islamists and with no understanding of what it once meant to be an American."
One would assume, though, that we'll all be underwater or blasted into space by the time the Atheist Muslim forces advance that far.
